Thank you for supporting the Parkview High School Track & Field Program!
At Parkview High School, our goal every year is to run a first-class track & field program. To do that, we need your help.
Our program creates its own budget and does not receive funding from the school district other than basic equipment replacement.
We rely on fundraising efforts with our incredible booster club to help us maintain the level of facilities and equipment upgrades that help prepare and showcase our athletes.
The funds raised with this online donations fundraiser will go directly to paying for Legacy Park Area / New Record Boards at the stadium entrance, as well as getting a jumpstart on replacing our competition hurdles that are in great need.
We want to give our student-athletes the best opportunity to succeed and create as many new memories as possible while leaving their mark, both athletically and historically, to the program. Our goal is to continue to improve our facilities and leave the program better for the next classes than the previous. The Parkview track & field program is asking for your assistance to help make this possible.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and a tax-deductible receipt will be issued for your support.
A Message from Head Coach/Director of Track & Field, Matt Henson...
We are very excited about the 2020 season. We have such great passion for what we do and we are surrounded by great people within the Parkview T&F Nation. The demands of our athletes and the preparation needed to be great in the classroom, on the track, and in the community takes an incredible investment physically, emotionally and financially to simply maintain the standard that was set a long time ago.
The Parkview track and field team is a program recognized on a state & national level and after the first two varsity invitationals, our athletes continue to raise the bar by winning trophies in each gender for both. Our ladies have already earned two trophies, and our men have dominated to first place in both meets.
The Big Orange Jungle is referred to as "The Stadium That Never Sleeps" because we have events going on most every evening--weekends are no exception. Because of this, we have to limit some practice times because our sister spring programs (soccer/lacrosse) need access to the stadium for games. This limits our ability to work on certain events. We are in dire need of some facility upgrades that will allow our kids to train without interruption.
We have an unsightly "barn" at the main entrance of the stadium used to display the school records. We do not need it for storage anymore, and desperately want to have it removed. Our plan is to build a Track & Field Legacy Park where we will proudly display not only our school records, but state and national championship recognitions we have earned as a program. We no longer need the barn for storage as we helped build a storage facility a few years ago.
Future projects include:
-Runway extension on inside jump pit runway (same length as other)
-Additional runway/jump pit built outside of the stadium (for practice when soccer/lacrosse games are in the stadium)
-Additional discus circle/cage for warm-up/competion/practice
-Fixing the drainage issue at the shot put area)
Our athletes do not have more than a place to change and we would like to provide locker room facilities. We have spaces in our field houses that can be used, but we need to have shelving, lockers, etc.
We want to give our student-athletes the best opportunity to succeed and create as many new memories as possible, while investing in improving our program and facilities for future Panthers.
The Parkview track & field program is asking for your assistance to help make this possible. Any donation is greatly appreciated and a tax-deductible receipt will be issued for your support.
Thank you for supporting the Parkview Panthers Track & Field Team.
