As the Band Director of the Henry Clay High School Band program, I want to share our goals and needs for the upcoming year. Achieving success as members, directors, and as a program requires vision, commitment, and resources. A significant portion of our funding comes from the members, their supporters, and the generosity of the Lexington community. The success of our program truly depends on the incredible support we receive.
We are committed to providing our band members with the best opportunities to succeed and to create life-long memories. To make this possible, we are asking for your assistance. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your support. I would also like to personally invite each of you to come out and support our members as we perform this year. We are looking forward to an exciting year and are dedicated to maintaining our standard of excellence.

A Message from Band Director Bill Kite...
Our group has great passion for what we do, and we are surrounded by some truly amazing people within the Henry Clay High School Band family. Our staff understands the demands on our band members and the preparation needed to excel in the classroom, during the performance, and in the community. This all requires real dedication and commitment from everyone involved. My staff and I work tirelessly each day, planning, training, and preparing our band members for the challenges that lie ahead this year.
To ensure our members have the best experience possible, we have launched our OnlineDonations fundraising campaign. The funds we raise will be used for music, instruments, uniforms, and other essential expenses. As many of you know, performing at this level requires significant resources, and your generosity is crucial to our continued success. We have asked each of our members to create a personal online fundraising page to share with their close friends and family. Any donation, regardless of the amount, will make a significant difference.

The Henry Clay High School Marching Band has built a tradition of excellence and accomplishments over the years. Some of our past achievements include-
~Bands of America Regional Finalist and Class 3A Regional Champion in 2018 and 2017
~Regional Finalist in 2019, 2013 and 2012.
~4-time Mid States Band Association Class Champion.
~KMEA class 3A State Runner-Up in 2004 and 5A Finalist in 2022.
~Performed at the 2014 Bands of America Grand National Championship.
The Henry Clay Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Bands annually receive distinguished ratings at assessments including special invitations to perform at KMEA Conferences 7 times since 2007 and have performed at the Music For All National Concert Festival. We appreciate any donation that you make and invite you to see a performance in the future to see our students and how your support makes an impact on our program.
