A Message from Coach Weeks...
Love them, care for them, and coach them hard. Our group has great passion for what we do, and we are surrounded by some truly amazing people within the Montreat College Softball family. Our staff understands the demands on our student-athletes and the preparation needed to excel in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. This all requires real dedication and commitment from everyone involved. My staff and I work tirelessly each day, planning, training, and preparing our student-athletes for the challenges that lie ahead this year.
To ensure our athletes have the best experience possible, we have launched our OnlineDonations fundraising campaign. The funds we raise will be used for our new locker room, our invitational trip to Oklahoma, our spring break trip to Florida, and other essential expenses. As many of you know, competing at this level requires significant resources, and your generosity is crucial to our continued success. We have asked each of our players to create a personal online fundraising page to share with their close friends and family. Any donation, regardless of the amount, will make a significant difference.

The Montreat College Softball program is coming off its best season in over 20 years.
Using an excellent beginning to the season and a solid span of competitions, the Montreat softball team notched the most wins by its program since the early 2000s. En route to a 31-19 record, the Cavs collected a series of triumphs, accolades and history not seen by the team in over a decade.
Haley Fethke grabbed a Second Team All-AAC selection and a spot on the College Sports Communicators, CSC, Jasmine Rachal Academic All-District® Team and Deanna Waddell joined Fethke on the CSC Academic All-District® squad, while 11 Cavaliers recorded AAC All-Academic Team nods and seven were named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Fethke, Rachal and Amayia Hernandez each collected NFCA All-Region honors.
Lastly, The National Fastpitch Coaches Association unveiled a list of its Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes and eight (8) suited up for the Montreat College softball program in 2023-24.
Leah Coffing, Haley Fethke, Leyna Gould, Dayton Kell, Peyton Lindley, Maddox Pleasants, Bella Rodriguez, and Deanna Waddell captured the national recognition for their impressive work in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year.
On the dirt, the Cavaliers broke many programs records including total hits (399), triples (17), homeruns (33), RBI’s (268), walks (160), stolen bases (119), batting average (.312), on-base percentage (.397), slugging percentage (.469). The pitching staff also collected a program record 31 wins and posted the lowest ERA since 2011.
