Please support the Kappa Delta SHAMROCK the Runway for Prevent Child Abuse America, St Josephs Parenting Center and Sister Pats Kids Camp, in honor of Caitlin Nelson.
Kappa Delta’s partnership with Prevent Child Abuse America helps make great things happen in the lives of children across the country. Our efforts will help families across the country and we are reaching out to those that want to support our efforts to raise money that will impact children for years to come.
A few words from Kappa Delta Philanthropy Chair Caitlin Nelson...
Kappa Delta's history is rooted in generosity, compassion, and commitment to our sisters and the greater good. On top of helping to support the philanthropic causes of our fellow Panhellenic organizations, members are dedicated to raising awareness and educating others for Prevent Child Abuse America. This issue is one we stand behind as something that affects children all over the country. Founded in 1972 in Chicago, Prevent Child Abuse America works to promote the healthy development of children and prevent child abuse before it can occur in order to help children to grow up and contribute in their communities. Since 1984, Kappa Delta collegiate and alumnae chapters have held Shamrock events — local fundraisers that vary from pancake breakfasts and 5K runs to silent auctions and benefit concerts — to support the prevention of child abuse. We will be hosting our annual SHAMROCK the Runway event on Tuesday, April 11th to raise funds to help in a cause that we all care so deeply about. We would also like to personally invite you to attend our fashion show as we raise awareness and educate the community on the severity of child abuse in our nation.
It is only through the generosity of others that we are able to bring more awareness to a very important issue that needs attention. Please know that your contribution has made a positive impact in the lives of these children and their families. Our goal is to raise over $50,000, 40% of the proceeds will be going to St Josephs Parenting Center in Stamford CT, 20% will be going to Sister Pats Cancer Camp, 20% will be going to a scholarship in Caitlin's honor, and 20% will be going to Prevent Child Abuse America. We appreciate any donation, no matter how big or small, and hope that you can respond generously.
Thank you as we help our efforts with Prevent Child Abuse America.
